Jeddah: Sigma Paints Usfan-XI Skipper Majid Bhatti hit a match winning 85 runs off just 25 balls & all rounder Javed Iqbal made equally well 73 runs off 28 balls give a 116 runs victory to their team Sigma Paints Usfan-XI over Otex-XI, while ICC beat Pak Young by 6 wickets as Ali of ICC team hit a classic 56 runs in 25 balls in the 7th.week Premier Division matches of summer league championship which is sponsored by the ACE Travels & tours, it is organized by Jeddah Cricket Association.
Sigma Paints Usfan-XI after winning the toss scored 276-5 in the allotted 18 overs against Otex-XI, openers Hashim Khan 36 & Salman 26 gave a good start while Sigma Paints Usfan-XI skipper Majid Bhatti who came into bat at no.3 position hit a match winning innings of 85 runs off 25 balls, he hit seven sixes & four boundaries in his innings while all rounder Javed Iqbal fallowed the path set by his skipper hammered 73 runs in 28 balls, Javed Iqbal hit four sixes & nine boundaries, while Zahid 14 & Adnan 10 push the total to reach 276 runs. Reza had taken 2 wickets while Amjad & Assad had one wicket each for Otex-XI. In reply Otex made 160-6 wickets, Talib Hussain made 51 runs, Majid hit 39 runs, Amjad 11, Asif 9 & Amer made 8 runs. Javed Iqbal had taken 3-9, while Hashim Khan, Salman & Zahid had taken one wicket each for Otex.
In the second match of the day Pak Young batting first scored 120-6 in the allotted 18 overs against ICC, Qassid 25, Ayaz & Arshad Khan made identical 16 runs each while Akram made 10 runs, Wasay & Shah Nawaz had taken two wickets each while Abid & Irfan had taken a wicket each for ICC. In reply ICC reached the target 124-4 in 7.3 overs, Ali scored 56 off 25 balls, Waseem 35, Yousuf 14 not out.
