1- About YaHind Six years ago, I resolved to create a website for NRIs through “yahind.com” and today, I am proud to present my creation, which I have nurtured with love and care.
I am offering my yahind to all the NRIs around the Globe, so that we can all feel at home even when we are miles away from our country.
Yahind is basically a website portal wherein apart from providing information, my mission is to “Create a virtual welfare community for the NRI’s”.
Yahind was created basically to provide solutions to the various problems faced by our people when they leave India.
Today, Yahind covers almost everything from jobs, accommodation, news, interviews, articles and tourism to education, health, investment opportunities etc. and it is still on the road of progress.
It is not possible for one individual to portray the depth of India’s cultural diversity and enormous economic and intellectual resources to the world; therefore I call upon you, my dear friends, to help me reach the benefits of “Yahind.com” by spreading the word among our community.
2- Classified Ads
Ladies and Gentlemen, this is the new feature added to “Yahind”, whereby an attempt has been made to create a platform for the buyers and sellers.
Currently this facility has been extended only to the members where they can specify their requirements for job, accommodation, household items or vehicles and post the same on “yahind”.
I have come across many instances where people by word of mouth keep on asking about jobs and accommodation facilities, but there is a limit up to which their needs can be spread by word of mouth.
This set me thinking as to why I should not use “yahind” as a platform for spreading the word around. This way we can bring the sellers and the buyers under one roof
3- NRI Help Desk
This section is given prime importance because it fulfills the ultimate objective of yahind.com. The common problems face by many NRIs for which they do not know whom to approach and how to tackle, all this information is covered in this section.
Yahind also provides details on opening NRI account, Emigration Clearance, Visa related issues, custom and baggage rules, facilities available to returning Indians, has been provided to bring the general awareness among the NRI community.
4- Find NRIs

“Find NRIs” will help you to find your people and re-unite the lost contact and friendship.
This section will also help NRIs to find new friends from the same profession, city or state in the current location.

There are two ways of spreading light, either be the candle or the mirror which reflects it.
This section of Yahind provides links to various newspapers and gives the current news directly on your PC. For people who may feel more comfortable to read news online.
We also highlight the community news and the problems of Indian expatriates with focus on socio-economic issues.

Yahind has introduced an “Education” Section for the benefit of students aspiring for higher studies. Yahind has attempted to be the gateway to the sites of the universities throughout the globe, so that more information is made available before taking up the course.
This section is being updated from time to time with the latest available information, so that a correct and comprehensive database is provided to our people across the world. I am sure many parents sitting over here would be eager to visit our site on this section, which is actually the main idea behind conducting this event.

On the health front, “Yahind” has provided a lot of medical data not only concerning the diseases that can affect the human body, but also the symptoms and remedies described at length in these sections.
