Riyadh: The first Open Table Tennis Tournament culminated at grand and color full prize distribution ceremony at New Middle East International School Riyadh. The first of its kind 0penTable Tennis Tournament , more than 160 students from International Indian School Riyadh (IISR) Delhi Public School (DPS) Al-Yasmeen School, Al-Aliya School and the host New Middle East International School participated in this event. Well known Indian Table Tennis players Mohammed Zia-ur-Rahman and Mrs. Asiya Masarrat organised this tournament with co-operation of a team of NMEIS teachers.
The TT enthusiasts & sponsors of the tournament Eng. Syed Jawaher Jafry, Eng. Mohammed Amanullah, Eng. Mir Imaduddin, and Principal NMES Mrs. Tabassum Farooque presented the Trophies to the winners and runner ups of this 4 days event.
The winners & runner up in boys are Mohammed Owais , Robert Arron and Roshan Ajoy, Mohammed Bilal Shaik( under 14 doubles), Rahber Aman, Basil Khan & Muzammil Ahmed, Zaid Mirza ( under 16 doubles), Friederich Samuel, Adnan Alam & Mohammed Bilal, Ziyad Hussain ( under 19 doubles) Robert Arron & Mrigank Kaushal ( singles under 14) Friederich Samuel & Basil Khan ( singles under 16), Adnan Alam & Mohammed Bilal ( singles under 19).
The winners & runner up in girls are Layan H. Sherif, C.V.Prakiya and Sara Mariam, Abinaya Sentil (under 14 doubles) Sohaila Rahman, Wardah Talib and Heba Mazhar, Nashrah Nazneen (under 19 doubles), Safia Rahman and C.V. Prakhya (undr 14 singles), Safia Rahman and Afreen Khalid (under 16 singles), Sohaila Rahman, wardah Talib (under 19 singles)
Mrs. Tabassum Farooque, Principal NMES welcome the audience and thanks the sponsors for their valuable support in organizing this tournament. Eng. Syed Jawaher Jafry also spoke on the occasion. Mrs. Tabassum Farooque presented momentos as token of appriciation to the sponsors and the coordinators. Ms. Kavita Conducted the proceedings and Mrs. Asiya Masarrat proposed a vote of thanks at end.
